Who is behind the picks
About this site
One researcher, six providers, no operator affiliation. This page says who we are and what keeps the ranking honest.

What this is. A single-purpose guide to getting online in Vietnam. No hotel widgets, no flight deals, one question answered properly: which eSIM fits your trip, and when no eSIM does. The picks come from comparing every Vietnam plan of the six providers we can verify, on published facts: which network each one rides, prices, fair-use caps, hotspot rules, review records.
Why Vietnam needed its own site. Because the usual eSIM advice glosses over the thing that decides whether your phone works here. Vietnam has three national networks, and every travel eSIM that publishes a partner names the same one, VNPT. Viettel, the carrier that actually covers the northern mountains, is sold by none of them. A guide that ranks five brands without telling you that is answering the wrong question. That page exists because of it.
Who runs it. An independent researcher who builds travel-connectivity guides. Not a mobile operator, not owned by or affiliated with any provider on these pages. When something here is wrong it gets fixed in the next update, and the methodology page shows exactly how the sausage is made, commission rates included.
Why trust a site with affiliate links? Do not, on our word alone. Check the receipts. Every price carries the date we verified it. Every network claim names the brand's own page as its source, and where a brand publishes nothing we write "not published" instead of repeating a blog. Our default pick pays us 12%, the lowest rate of the four brands we link. The biggest unlimited brand in the category sits in our tables unlinked and unmonetized. One of our own partners carries a Trustpilot warning we wrote ourselves. And an entire page tells travelers heading north to buy a $5 Viettel profile we earn nothing from. A site optimising for commissions would do none of that.
